Sustainable Golf Week kicks off on October 3rd – providing a time for people and organizations across golf to reflect on important issues; celebrate golf’s contributions; and strengthen commitments for the future.
It comes during a year that has seen continued global trends in dangerous extreme heat; huge rises in costs of energy; pressures on water supplies; and ongoing concern for biodiversity loss and pollution.
Sustainable Golf Week helps spotlight the opportunity and responsibility golf has to be at the forefront with solutions. To be a leader in sustainability and climate action.
Everyone in golf and key stakeholders around golf are invited to get involved. Share a perspective; celebrate a highlight; make a forward commitment. #DrivingTheGreen
The future of golf is innately linked to the future of the planet. It’s the biggest collective challenge we have and needs the best team response.
REFLECT
We are moving deeper into the UN Decade of Action, a short period in time when we all can and need to take responsibility; to play our part in overcoming some of the major environmental and social challenges of our generation. Progress is being made, and there is a great deal to be hopeful about. Golf is already contributing positively in many ways – ensuring a global sport is part of the solution. But there are still risks and more to be done.

One good round is never enough to win the tournament. Sustainability is about scoring well today, and in the future. There is plenty of support and so many clear business benefits. It makes absolute sense that golf and sustainability leadership should become synonymous.
