Dave Sansom spends most of his time photographing golf courses, but fine art landscapes and travel photography are also important parts of his photography business. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and travels across the USA and around the world.
Sansom is a preferred photographer for Troon Golf, the largest golf management company in the world, and also for Marriott Golf. In addition to his work with these organizations, much of his business comes through referrals of many golf course architects who recommend him to their clients. He also works directly with clubs who reach out to him. Dave has photographed many golf courses that host major USGA and PGA Tour events, as well as an ever-growing list of the world’s top resort and public courses, as well as exclusive private clubs.
“I truly love photographing golf courses”, says Sansom. “I love the game, the landscapes and the relationships I’ve developed throughout the industry. Everything about this work is a joy. I have great respect for the many people involved in creating and managing golf courses, and I work hard to express that respect and to honor their efforts by producing the best images I can for each golf course I photograph.
Sansom has received generous support from golf industry insiders and has photographed some of the finest golf courses on the planet. His photographs appear worldwide in golf publications, books, calendars, websites and more. Among the many golf clubs you’ll find in his portfolio are Crooked Stick Golf Club, Kapalua's Plantation and Bay Courses, East Lake Golf Club, the highly regarded McLemore, Peachtree Golf Club, many of North Carolina’s famous mountain courses and more.
