2020, 2024, for renewal 2029

“The vision of the group is to demonstrate leadership within the hospitality and community sectors and indeed through golf. This is evidenced by the sheer commitment shown to me on the day of the visit. A number of heads of department were present and equally passionate about their roles and contributions to sustainable working. This extends across the board i.e., from kitchens to pro-shop to golf course maintenance, and also clearly forms part of the groups ethos as regional heads of department were at the on-site meeting and contributed to our discussions. The groups aspirations were outlined and indeed reinforced by way of a bespoke presentation provided to me on the day with contributions from the different heads and managers present. The presentation eloquently outlined the clubs aims, aspirations and goals. Sustainable working across the resort follows a detailed self-evaluation matrix which is used by all and referred to regularly during HOD meetings. Interestingly the Springs is somewhat unique in calculating and working to reduce their carbon footprint. C02 data for 2020 is calculated as 95tons C02 produced. 158 Tons C02 is sequestered, which demonstrates a 58ton C02 sequestered benefit over that used. The group as a whole has a very clear vision and drive, all of which is directed by sustainable best practice. They are at the forefront of the industry and should be awarded for the extent, passion and enthusiasm given to sustainable development and management. I have no hesitation in recommending the Springs move forward with their re-certification.”
