Sustainable Golf Pledge

We are committed to social and environmental responsibility, in and through golf.

We recognize the importance of playing our part to protect and restore nature, conserve resources, take climate action and strengthen communities.

We will seek to use our reach to raise awareness and positive action amongst golfers, partners and the wider public.

We will make an important difference, and help golf become a valued leader in sustainability.

Notable Observations

  • Extensive Naturalised Rough Areas Large areas of rough across both courses have been deliberately naturalised and are only cut once per year, providing refuge habitat for fauna and reducing managed turf intensity.
  • Out-of-Play Areas Managed for Wildlife Out-of-play rough areas are managed specifically as wildlife habitat, with mowing heights kept above 10 cm and management shaped by advice from local environmental groups and authorities.
  • Bat Roosts Integrated into Course Buildings Several on-course buildings, including toilets, have been adapted to function as bat shelters. These roosts are actively used and explained to visitors via information boards.
  • Lake Edge Habitat Restoration Geotextiles seeded with local plant species have been installed on lake edges to stabilise banks and re-establish native vegetation around water bodies.
  • 100% Non-Potable Irrigation Water All irrigation water is non-potable, with water use legally sourced and consumption reported to the municipality, avoiding any use of drinking water for course irrigation.
  • Data-Informed Irrigation Management Irrigation decisions are guided by weather data, moisture meters, central computer control and zone-based adjustments made by the irrigation team.
  • On-Site Organic Waste Composting All organic waste from the hotel and restaurants is converted into compost and reused for landscaping across the resort, minimising waste leaving the site.
  • Open, Multi-Use Resort Facilities The resort’s restaurants, meeting spaces and paths are open to non-golfers, and the site hosts seminars, educational activities, junior golf programmes and community events throughout the year.
