Through becoming GEO Certified we have achieved the most widely regarded and credible sustainability distinction in golf. The international certification was earned after successfully meeting the industry-standard best practices and demonstrating our commitment to make sustainability of central importance to our golf facility. We're proud of our social and environmental value - and looking forward to doing even more on our sustainability journey.

Quinta do Lago’s dedication to sustainability was evident throughout my visit. The greenkeeping team is committed to implementing sustainable measures, including the conservation of water resources, increased water efficiency, reduction of energy consumption and chemical inputs, preservation of biodiversity through increased wildlife habitat area and native species planting. The North and South courses serve as excellent examples of how a golf club can positively contribute to the environment and the local community. I am confident that Quinta do Lago will continue to foster nature, conserve resources, and strengthen the community. I look forward to seeing continued progress in these areas over the coming years.
