Through becoming GEO Certified we have achieved the most widely regarded and credible sustainability distinction in golf. The international certification was earned after successfully meeting the industry-standard best practices and demonstrating our commitment to make sustainability of central importance to our golf facility. We're proud of our social and environmental value - and looking forward to doing even more on our sustainability journey.

Mjölby Golfklubb has a high degree of maturity regarding environmental responsibility and is an outstanding role model for sustainability in golf. The sustainability work is carried out with the entire club's commitment, from management to members. The club shows understanding and awareness of the various steps of the environmental process, from inventory to results. There is a well-thought-out annual environmental plan with many activities. Self-monitoring ensures control of the environment, goals, measurements, and follow-ups of positive and negative environmental aspects. The results are presented in an annual environmental report to the board. Significant investments in biodiversity and irrigation renewal have been made in recent years. It will be very exciting to follow the club's continued work to develop nature and management plans for areas outside the mowed parts of the course, replacing the use of fossil fuels, and draining the course so it can stay resistant and dry during heavy rains.
