Sustainable Golf Pledge

We are committed to social and environmental responsibility, in and through golf.

We recognize the importance of playing our part to protect and restore nature, conserve resources, take climate action and strengthen communities.

We will seek to use our reach to raise awareness and positive action amongst golfers, partners and the wider public.

We will make an important difference, and help golf become a valued leader in sustainability.

Notable Observations

  • Sea Turtle Monitoring & Habitat Areas Sea turtle nesting sites are regularly monitored, with populations on the rise. Out-of-play areas have been naturalised with Bahia grass to reduce maintenance and support biodiversity.
  • Native Fruiting Trees The club is planting native fruiting trees to provide food for wildlife and occasional snacks for golfers, boosting biodiversity and local habitat value.
  • Switch to Low-Input Turf Zoysia Matrella, a native, low-maintenance grass, is replacing existing greens turf. It reduces water, fertiliser, and pesticide use while maintaining good playability.
  • Solar Power for Operations The maintenance facility runs entirely on solar energy, with plans to extend solar to golf cart charging. This marks a clear shift toward renewable energy use.
  • Smarter Irrigation Plans Upgrades include soil moisture probes, selective hand-watering, and automated, weather-linked systems. These will cut water waste and improve turf health.
  • Improved Waste & Chemical Handling The club is relocating storage areas and installing containment features to prevent pollution near waterways, with safety upgrades already underway.
  • Local Engagement & Support Partnerships with universities provide job training, while regular bazaars support local artisans. The club also donates supplies to local schools.
  • Member-Sponsored Tree Planting Members fund native tree plantings marked with name signs, fostering pride and quietly promoting environmental awareness on-site.

“Anvaya Cove is a stunning property, with a golf course that winds through scenic valleys and along cliff tops overlooking the West Philippine Sea. The club has already undertaken several impressive environmental initiatives, including 100% solar-powered kiosks on the course, and its commitment to a net-zero vision for the entire property is both ambitious and inspiring. I look forward to following its progress.”
