Recognising education as an essential component of a sustainable future, we engaged our younger junior members in an enjoyable activity: sowing wildflower seeds in an area adjacent to the Clubhouse/18th Green. This creates a daily sight for both kids and members. Additionally, we have crafted a bug hotel using natural materials. The children enthusiastically participated in this activity, posed numerous questions, and have now taken their initial strides toward building a sustainable future.
Furthermore, our Wall Gang, comprised of retired gentlemen, continues to convene every Monday morning. Their focus remains on rebuilding many of the estate's original stone walls, augmenting the course's beauty and the surrounding walking paths. The art of building natural stone walls is sustainability at its very best as no additional or artificial materials are required, using stones which have been on sight for many many years. This endeavour has transformed into a recurring social pursuit, uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds. They enjoy each other's company, united by a shared objective: to enhance Clandeboye Golf Club's scenic appeal for golf enthusiasts while harmoniously collaborating with nature.
