Auchterarder Golf Club converted a biodiversity-poor drainage problem between the 10th fairway and 12th green into a biodiversity-rich wetland feature with the creation of a pond water feature.
Part-funding was secured through Landfill Tax Credits and Scottish Natural Heritage. The pond has been a great success story, removing a source of course maintenance headaches and improving golfer satisfaction.
