Using forestry debris for wood chippings on cart paths

As part of a heathland restoration project, we are currently working in partnership with Natural England on an annual tree management programme.

We produce a significant amount of forestry debris each year from these tasks. These are then recycled by creating wood chippings which in turn is the used on the course paths. Any timber created is also retained onsite to power the biomass heating system in the greenkeepers' maintenance facility.
