As part of our commitment to preserving the environment surrounding our golf courses, we have taken steps to enhance biodiversity. We have introduced 2 hectares of wildflower fields, where annual hay decropping is conducted to encourage the growth of native wildflowers. Additionally, in the autumn, we plant bulbs to ensure that insects have a source of food in the early spring, prior to the wildflowers blossoming.
By introducing an area of wildflowers, we are able to enhance the biodiversity that our course offers through the creation of new habitats, which in turn helps attract pollinator species while helping establish environmental resilience, improve soil health and add aesthetic appeal to the area.
These efforts have not only been well-received by our wildlife residents but have also collected positive feedback from our guests.
