The river that runs across our course is home to a very endangered fish, the sea trout. Annually they come up the river during November to reproduce.
Together with the fly fishing society of Helsinki we have built several gravel beds for the fish to lay their eggs. The gravel is transported to the site by our machinery. The job itself is done during early autumn by voluntary work.
We publish the dates on our clubs website and ask members to sign up for this task. The work is coordinated by the fly fishing society. According to reports done by them the number of fish has increased a lot during past five years thanks to our mutual effort.
