Après plusieurs années problématiques sur une zone impossible à drainer, nous nous sommes orientés vers la création d'une zone humide. En collaboration avec notre biologiste la zone a été creusé sur une profondeur d'environ 50 cm, les pentes de berges sont douces pour permettre aux amphibiens et autres petits animaux d'y accéder facilement. Les niveaux d'eau est faible et varie légèrement en fonction des saisons. Différentes espèces de plantes se sont développées naturellement et quelques éléments seront apportés "artificiellement" (pierres, graviers, plantes aquatiques indigènes). Cette solution nous a permis d'assainir une zone souvent inondée tout en améliorant le drainage du fairway proche de la mare. Photos : création en Janvier 2025 - état au 1er juillet 2025

After several years of dealing with a persistently waterlogged area that could not be drained, we chose to transform the site into a functional wetland.
In collaboration with our biologist, the area was excavated to a depth of around 50 cm, and the banks were shaped with gentle slopes to provide easy access for amphibians and other small wildlife species. The water level remains shallow and changes slightly with the seasons. A range of plant species has already established itself naturally, and we will soon enhance the habitat further by adding stones, gravel, and native aquatic plants.
This solution has allowed us to convert a problem area into a valuable ecological feature while also improving drainage on the adjacent fairway.
