We made a significant investment in upgrading our lighting system to LED technology throughout the clubhouse, greens, and carparks. Additionally, we incorporated PIR sensors to minimise the duration of lights being on. We actively promote a culture of switching off lights in areas where sensors are not present.
Comparing the energy consumption between two periods, from 1 October 2021 to 19 May 2022 (155,708kw) and from 1 October 2022 to 19 May 2023 (130,624kw), we achieved a remarkable reduction of 16% or 25,084kw. This translates to a cost-saving of £10,375.
