At Linna Golf, responsible water management is a key part of our sustainability strategy. Between 2023 and 2024, our water consumption and fertilizer use decreased by 30%, and the same positive trend has continued throughout 2025. By eliminating overwatering, we not only conserve natural resources but also reduce labor needs, as turf surfaces require less frequent mowing. As a result, grass clippings on greens have been reduced by up to 80%.
Nutrient runoff is minimized through careful course maintenance, water collection basins, irrigation recycling, and continuous monitoring of surface runoff. Linna Golf is also an active member of the Katumajärvi Lake Protection Association, working to safeguard the nearby lake from environmental stress.
The interconnected use of fertilizers, energy, and water directly impacts both the environment and the company’s economic sustainability. Our ongoing goal is to ensure that Linna Golf continues to operate according to the highest environmental responsibility standards.
