Seashore Paspalum was selected as the primary grass variety for Yas Acres Golf and Country Club during construction, due to its exceptional sustainability attributes as a warm-season turf grass. Notably, Seashore Paspalum requires relatively minimal nitrogen inputs, which effectively reduces our fertiliser usage.
Furthermore, its impressive salt tolerance allows us to irrigate using recycled effluent water, thus conserving potable water for essential purposes such as drinking. These dual benefits play a significant role in reducing our carbon footprint, as less energy is expended on inputs. Additionally, they result in cost and time savings in the management of the golf course.
