Sustainable renovation of our clubhouse

During the renovation of our clubhouse, we made a firm commitment to future-proof, energy-saving measures. This project now serves as an example of how sports clubs can drastically reduce their energy footprint. The key sustainability measures taken were:

• Maximum insulation: The roof features extra-thick insulation with a very high R-value, minimizing heat loss.

• Smart ventilation: An intelligent, CO2-controlled ventilation system refreshes the air only when necessary. This prevents unnecessary energy consumption and ensures a consistently healthy indoor climate.

• 100% LED lighting: The entire building is equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting, much of which is sensor-controlled.

• Significant expansion of solar power: Installation of 24.4 kWp of solar panels on the clubhouse roof. This system complements the 12.9 kWp of panels already installed on the Greenkeepers maintenance facility. With our solar energy capacity, we now generate over 35% of our own electricity. Furthermore, we removed (natural gas) terrace heaters to further reduce energy demand.

In this way, we contribute to a greener future for our members and the Salland region.
