We have established dedicated unmown areas containing piles of branches, logs, and natural wood debris, creating valuable shelters for hedgehogs, insects, reptiles, small mammals, and fungi that help break down organic matter.
These habitat features provide hibernation sites, hiding places, and food sources, enriching biodiversity across the course. As the wood naturally decomposes, it also supports soil health and nutrient cycling without the need for additional inputs.
