Besonders im Winter müssen Greifvögel und Eulen Energie sparen und sind dann stärker auf geeignete Sitzwarten angewiesen. Die Sitzstangen erleichtern die Jagd, vor allem auf Kleinsäuger. Zu den bestehenden Stizstangen wurde von unserem Greenkeepingteam fünf weitere aufgestellt. Auf unserer Golfanlage befinden sich nun an die 20 Sitzstangen für Greifvögel. Birds of prey and owls must conserve energy, particularly in winter, and therefore rely heavily on suitable perches for efficient hunting. Perches allow them to spot and catch small mammals with less energy expenditure.
Our greenkeeping team has installed five additional perches to complement the existing ones, bringing the total to around 20 across the course.
We are pleased to see these structures in use and to observe birds of prey contributing naturally to mouse population regulation.
