We, the greenkeepers, take these pictures during our everyday work. Between mowing greens, raking bunkers, and preparing the course for play, we pause to capture the small moments: a lizard warming on a stone, a dragonfly resting in the rough, a hedgehog crossing a fairway at dusk, birds by the water, insects in the grass, even the quiet patterns of webs and tracks in the sand.
We print the photos and pin them up to remind ourselves of something important. The golf course is not only a place for the game. It is home to many species. Every bunker, pond, tree line, and patch of rough offers shelter, food, and space to live.
This wall reflects our pride and our responsibility. As greenkeepers, we do more than maintain turf, we care for an ecosystem. Through these images, we share that awareness and celebrate the biodiversity that surrounds us every single day.
