In 2022, we successfully cleared an invasive Sea Buckthorn area spanning approximately 5000 m2 from the fixed dune grassland, restoring it to bare sand. This restoration effort was carried out in collaboration with Natural England. By preventing the succession towards rank grasslands and scrub, we strive to maintain the integrity of the ecosystem.

The removal of Sea Buckthorn plays a vital role in preserving species diversity within the Fixed Dune Grassland and ensuring optimal conditions for invertebrates to thrive. This action contributes to the long-term sustainability of the area and reinforces our commitment to nurturing a balanced and thriving natural environment.
