In 2020, the club commissioned an ecological assessment that established a five-year habitat restoration plan to remove encroaching scrub and trees from areas of fixed dune habitat across the course. The programme aims to restore the natural dune ecosystem by increasing habitat diversity and improving conditions for native flora and fauna.
Alongside this work, several dune slacks were created to enhance wetland habitat and increase ecological resilience. These restoration measures have helped strengthen the biodiversity of the site while protecting the ecological character of this important coastal landscape.
