Trees that fall naturally, such as during storms, are carefully repurposed into tee markers. Many of these trees are mature specimens with a girth of at least 30 cm, having grown at SICC for decades, which gives them strong sentimental value.
Some species are native to Singapore and originate from the original forest within the surrounding Tree Conservation Areas, making them rare and historically significant. Removing these trees when they become unhealthy or pose safety risks allows SICC to transform them into meaningful and cost-effective course features, celebrating the Club’s heritage while reducing waste through reuse.
