We implement a comprehensive sand recycling programme, repurposing sand from construction projects across various areas of our site.
In this instance, the sand has undergone screening to a 7mm size, and we will redistribute this material across the 4 hectares of grass pathways spanning The Ailsa Course and The King Robert the Bruce Course.
Through the adoption of this recycling method, we not only conserve resources but also significantly reduce costs, enabling reinvestment elsewhere. Utilising on-site sourced sand also leads to a substantial reduction in our scope 3 carbon footprint associated with mining and transporting sand to the site.
Additionally, sand extraction often poses environmental challenges. By utilising our on-site resources, we mitigate potential negative impacts, ensuring minimal environmental disturbance.
