Raising money for Cystic Fibrosis with Stichting Taai

Golfbaan Bentwoud partnered with Stichting Taai as social partner for the 2023–2025 seasons, organizing activities to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and collect donations for research.

CF is a serious hereditary disease that affects about 1,600 people in the Netherlands, with 30 children born each year and a life expectancy of 40–50 years. Founded in 2019, Stichting Taai raises funds for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Chairman René Pronk was inspired after the daughter of a close friend was diagnosed: “We supported many causes, but for a disease so personal, little funding was available. That’s why we started Stichting Taai.”

For Carla Prins-Laban, director of Golfbaan Bentwoud, the partnership was a perfect fit: “René, a long-time member of our business club, asked to host the Golf4Taai tournament. It became a wonderful day, showing the commitment of the Stichting Taai team. Together we can raise even more.”

Across three seasons, Bentwoud organized fundraising events, donations during tournaments, bottle collections, and special game elements. The highlight was the Golf4Taai Tournament on June 27, 2025, which raised €147,200 in one day.
