In order to help save costs for the tournament and local restaurants participating in the onsite food festival, #BITENWA, Tyson Foods donates protein to be utilized in all meals onsite. This includes hospitality meals, volunteer meals, player dining, and over 67,000 sample dishes at #BITENWA.

In 2023, Tyson donated over 23,000 pounds of protein to the tournament’s food and beverage program. With Tyson Foods home office being located in Northwest Arkansas, 37.63% of the protein was locally sourced. Specifically focusing on #BITENWA, Tyson Foods gives each of the 45 participating restaurants a choice of protein to be donated. In a strategic effort to help avoid food waste, Tyson Foods donates 190 pounds per restaurant which meets the restaurants needs without creating excess.

This donation helps with cost savings for the participating restaurants on top of the stipend they receive on behalf of the tournament.
