During July and August, when temperatures can reach up to 40°C, Haesley Nine Bridges runs an annual Heatstroke Prevention Campaign to protect the health and safety of employees working outdoors. As extreme summer weather becomes more frequent, preventing heat-related illness has become an increasingly important part of the club's commitment to employee well-being and sustainable workplace management.
The campaign includes informational posters displayed throughout staff areas, regular email and text message alerts whenever a heat advisory is issued, and the provision of salt candies and hydration supplies to help prevent heat stress. Employees also receive guidance on recognising the symptoms of heatstroke, preventative measures, and appropriate first-aid responses, supported by dedicated first-aid training.
Through proactive communication, education, and preventative action, the club aims to minimise heat-related incidents, promote a safer working environment, and strengthen awareness of workplace health and safety.
