To support local bird populations and enhance biodiversity, bird nest boxes have been installed throughout the Yyteri Golf course and securely attached to trees in suitable habitats. These nest boxes provide safe nesting and shelter opportunities for cavity-nesting bird species.
In addition, all tree maintenance and arboricultural operations are carefully scheduled to avoid the bird breeding season. No tree management activities are conducted during nesting periods, ensuring that breeding birds are not disturbed.
These measures demonstrate Yyteri Golf’s commitment to responsible land management, biodiversity protection, and alignment with the sustainable golf framework for nature conservation within managed landscapes.
