Dal 2016, il Golf della Montecchia, insieme agli altri 3 club del gruppo PlayGolf54, promuove una cultura del golf basata sulla sostenibilità, sul rispetto e sulla cura dell’ambiente attraverso la realizzazione di Calendari Tematici. Ogni anno si approfondisce un tema specifico: la tutela della fauna che vive sul percorso, gli obiettivi e l’importanza delle pratiche di manutenzione sostenibile, il valore della preparazione fisica e del benessere personale, l’etichetta e il rispetto del campo, gli insetti censiti sul percorso, la descrizione degli alberi presenti in campo, i valori educativi del golf, l’orto biologico all’interno del club e l’attenzione verso i cani dei soci. Con l’edizione 2026, si sono voluti valorizzare i fiori che, mese dopo mese, arricchiscono i campi da golf, mettendo in evidenza il forte legame tra biodiversità e qualità del paesaggio. L'iniziativa, parte integrante dell’impegno sulla sostenibilità del club, è pensata per sensibilizzare soci e visitatori sull’importanza di comportamenti responsabili e pratiche virtuose, elementi essenziali e parte fondante dell’identità e dei valori del golf. Since 2016, Golf della Montecchia, together with the other three clubs in the PlayGolf54 group, has promoted a culture of golf rooted in sustainability, respect, and environmental stewardship through the creation of thematic calendars.
Each year, the project explores a different theme, including the protection of wildlife along the course, the goals and importance of sustainable maintenance practices, physical preparation and personal well-being, etiquette and respect for the course, insects recorded on site, the trees found across the golf courses, the educational values of golf, the club’s organic vegetable garden, and care for members’ dogs.
The 2026 edition focuses on the flowers that, month by month, enrich and enhance the courses, highlighting the strong connection between biodiversity and landscape quality.
This initiative forms part of the club’s wider sustainability journey and aims to raise awareness among members and visitors about the importance of responsible behaviour and best practices, key elements of golf’s identity and values.
