Over the past year, we upgraded our irrigation management system to Rain Bird’s CirrusPRO platform. This centrally controlled system can be accessed from the facility computer or via mobile devices, providing flexible and responsive control of irrigation operations.
CirrusPRO allows us to easily adjust settings and create station- and time-specific programmes, enabling precise and efficient water application. The system also incorporates evapotranspiration (ET)-based irrigation scheduling, ensuring that watering volumes are aligned with actual turf requirements.
Alongside the software upgrade, we installed a Spectrum WatchDog weather station, which provides real-time ET and climate data. By integrating this information into our irrigation strategy, we can irrigate more accurately, reducing unnecessary water use and enhancing overall water management across the property.
