At Rock Golf, we use a combination of moisture monitoring technology and a weather station to reduce irrigation water use. Soil Scout sensors are installed on nine greens and one tee, while a TDR350 moisture meter is used to collect additional moisture data. Each green is equipped with a nearby water point to enable targeted hand watering.
Our on-site weather station is integrated with the irrigation system, allowing us to use Rain Bird CirrusPRO to implement an evapotranspiration based irrigation programme. Using Rain Bird 752 sector sprinklers in a back-to-back configuration on greens, we can precisely control irrigation and apply water only where it is needed.
