Pre-ordering meals to prevent food waste

During the Covid-19 pandemic, hospitality staff at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club had a revelation. To prevent food going to waste, they introduced a system whereby golfers could pre-order their lunches at the starter hut using a simple form.

This meant that the chef could prepare exactly the right amount of meals for the right time of day. This has vastly reduced food waste, and kitchen stress!
