Royal Wimbledon Golf Club is developing a comprehensive inventory of the flora and fauna found across the course to better understand, monitor, and celebrate its biodiversity. The initiative also encourages greater member engagement by inviting golfers to record and report the wildlife they encounter during their rounds.
These observations are helping to build a clearer picture of the species that call the course home, while encouraging members to develop a greater appreciation of the natural environment that surrounds them. To date, more than 40 bird species have been recorded, with the inventory continuing to grow as new observations are made.
