Plastic pollution has quickly become one of the most pressing environmental issues that humanity has ever faced. Aphrodite Hills Resort has embarked on an ambitious journey to remove single-use plastic items from our daily operations on the golf course and associated facilities. Meanwhile, Atlantica Hotels and Resorts have already committed to the project of removing single-use plastic products from their hotel operations across their portfolio, including Aphrodite Hills.
Our starting point is implementing the use of reusable water containers and installation of water dispensers at key points around the facilities and golf course, thus slowly removing the single-use plastic water bottles. Highlighting the importance of taking this form of action, all of the Golf Team has now been provided by the Company with personalised reusable thermal water bottles and all staff will completely stop using plastic single-use water bottles.
One step at a time, Aphrodite Hills aims to contribute to a world without plastic and enable people to make more sustainable choices.
