It started with one member's suggestion: bring beehives onto the course. A year on, those hives - sited near the 11th and 12th holes, in a undisturbed naturalized zone - have already produced honey, sold through the Pro Shop. Beyond the honey, the bees support more than their own colonies. The same undisturbed area provides genuine habitat for the wider community of native pollinators that rely on the flowering plants established through the Club's revegetation program along the creek corridors.
