The olive tree is an essential part of the landscape at Aphrodite Hills and can be found in abundance across the Resort’s grounds. Approximately 2000 olive trees can be found throughout the Resort. The big olive tree by the entrance of the Hotel is more than 200 years old. In Cyprus olive trees have been around since antiquity with a huge number of wild olive trees found in the southern Troodos region. Our golf maintenance team has created a replanted area, an olive nursery for this purpose. As the trees mature they will be relocated or used as replacements on the course, making the resort sustainable with the indigenous olives. Aphrodite Hills Resort knows and cherish this super flavorsome golden liquid which also takes on an indirect role in many of the dishes served up at the Resort. Long term the Resort will harvest and produce its own olive oil products.
