Naturalizing large areas of out-of-play coastal grassland

Royal Porthcawl Golf Club is very aware of its responsibility and stewardship of the environment. Our greenkeeping team do an excellent job at managing the landscape for biodiversity, naturalising large expanses of areas which are out-of-play, producing valuable habitats to a range of mammals and birds. Coastal grasslands are one of the rarest and hence most important habitats within the UK, providing protected species of national and international importance with a place to nest and breed. Birds such as linnet, kestrel and yellow hammer can be found on the course.
