Eerikkala Golfin vesiesteissä on säilytetty paljaita lieterantoja, jotka tarjoavat arvokkaan ruokailualueen kahlaajalinnuille, kuten taivaanvuohille ja liroille. Lietteiset rannat ovat täynnä pieniä selkärangattomia, jotka muodostavat tärkeän ravintolähteen monille lintulajeille.
Näin golfkentän vesiesteistä on tullut osa alueen luonnon monimuotoisuutta tukevia elinympäristöjä. Kyseessä on esimerkki siitä, miten luonnon ehdoilla suunniteltu kenttä voi palvella sekä pelaajia että luontoa.

At Eerikkala Golf, areas of exposed mudflat have been preserved along the edges of water hazards, creating valuable feeding grounds for wading birds such as snipes and wood sandpipers. These muddy shores are rich in invertebrates, providing an important food source for many bird species.
As a result, the water features on the course have become part of a network of habitats that support local biodiversity. This is a great example of how a golf course designed with nature in mind can benefit both players and wildlife.
