Roehampton, London have a recycling station surrounded by timber taken from the golf course. Sycamore, birch and oak (amongst others) have been managed across the site, however, the issue of what to do with the wood produced from the aforementioned project arose.
A decision was made to create a habitat for 2 reasons, 1) to screen the recycling station from view, and 2) to create a safe area for wildlife to live in. The outcome is that we have many meters of first-class holistic habitat for anything that wishes to use it.
