At Hirsala Golf Club, the active removal of invasive species—such as western skunk cabbage (Lysichiton americanus) and large-leaved Lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus)—is a key part of our commitment to ecological restoration and biodiversity. Invasive plants can outcompete native vegetation, disrupt local ecosystems, and reduce habitat quality for wildlife.
Here at Hirsala, we actively remove these invasive species and dispose of them responsibly. Being vigilant, Hirsala ensures that invasive species are kept in check, allowing native biodiversity to flourish and the course’s natural heritage to shine.
