Visby Golf Club recently participated in a training programme on social sustainability organised by Sustainable Plejs, as part of our broader sustainability strategy. The programme deepened our understanding of how social, environmental, and economic sustainability are interconnected, and how conscious leadership and employee engagement contribute to long-term impact.
At Visby Golf Club, we view sustainability as a holistic approach in which people are central. A positive workplace culture, inclusion, and trust are essential for maintaining quality and driving lasting environmental initiatives. The training provided practical tools to strengthen participation, collaboration, and accountability in our daily operations.
A key insight from the programme was that social sustainability is not separate from environmental responsibility, it is a prerequisite for success. Engaged employees and clearly defined values create stronger foundations for long-term development.
Moving forward, we aim to integrate social goals even more clearly into our sustainability strategy and continue building a workplace where both people and the planet are at the heart of what we do.
