To support the sustainable management of our flower-rich dike, we have introduced targeted grazing using a flock of 150 sheep. This nature-based approach helps maintain the ecological balance of the area by controlling vegetation in a gentle, low-impact manner.
Unlike mechanical mowing, grazing promotes greater plant diversity, supports pollinators, reduces fuel consumption, and lowers overall maintenance emissions.
By integrating traditional land stewardship with modern sustainability goals, we are enhancing habitat quality while managing the landscape in an environmentally responsible way.
