Atlantic Beach has become a hotspot for birdlife enthusiasts in our community. As part of our mission to raise awareness and celebrate the natural biodiversity of Atlantic Beach, we’ve been actively updating and sharing our Birdlife Sighting List - which stands at 129 species sighted.
This season, we’ve taken it a step further. During our Kids & Teens Holiday Club, we launched a series of Fledgeling Workshops in partnership with Let’s Go Birding. These fun and educational workshops are specially designed to introduce our youth to the joys of birding and spark a lifelong connection with nature. During a recent bird walk, the young participants impressed us all by identifying 31 different bird species in just one outing! From Southern Double-Collared Sunbird to the Fiscal Flycatcher, they brought energy and sharp eyes to the experience.
By encouraging our youth to appreciate local wildlife, we're not only adding to our bird list – we're nurturing future custodians!
