At Al Mouj Golf, we have consistently maintained a sharp edge along our lake perimeters. All our irrigation reservoirs are lined, and to prevent golfers from walking on the liner, we have traditionally minimized grass on lake edges, ensuring golf balls roll directly into the lake.
However, in the summer of 2023, we made a strategic decision to allow the grass line to expand into the water. As a result, we have observed increased activity among migratory waders, waterfowl, and coastal birds utilizing the lake edges with the grassy areas. In response to this influx of birds, we are committed to further developing the lake edges to create additional safe havens for these avian species.
