This year, Aphrodite Hills Resort was proud to host The Big Golf Race, supporting the fundraising efforts of Prostate Cancer UK.
Since its launch in 2020, The Big Golf Race has become one of the UK’s leading charity golf events, with more than 10,000 golfers raising over £6 million to help transform the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
To launch the 2026 challenge, Prostate Cancer UK fundraisers and supporters, including Gladiators star Jamie “Giant” Bigg and broadcaster DJ Spoony, took on the challenge at Aphrodite Hills Resort, completing 36, 72, or even 100 holes in a single day. Over the years, the event has also received support from well-known figures in sport and entertainment, including former Masters champion Danny Willett.
By hosting The Big Golf Race, Aphrodite Hills Resort was proud to contribute to an initiative that combines the enjoyment of golf with fundraising for an important cause. The event highlights how golf clubs and resorts can play a meaningful role in supporting charitable organisations, raising awareness, and bringing communities together through sport.
