In 2024, Golfbaan Het Woold took a major step in making its clubhouse more sustainable by installing a Daikin heat pump, carried out by a local installer.
Purpose: to reduce the clubhouse’s reliance on fossil fuels by replacing or supplementing traditional gas heating with an energy-efficient, electric alternative — in line with the club’s sustainability goals.
Brand: a Daikin heat pump. Daikin is known for its high-efficiency air-to-water and water-to-water systems.
Installation: handled by a local installation company named Van Eerstel Installatietechniek, also a member of our Business Club.
This type of upgrade is in line with broader trends in the golf industry, where many clubs are switching to heat pumps to reduce emissions and energy costs.
To celebrate this new installation, Daikin, together with Golfbaan het Woold, organised a relation day, including a demo by the famous Dutch golfer Joost Luiten.
