As part of Enniscrone Golf Club’s commitment to protecting the natural dune environment, a programme of Marram grass replanting has been carried out across selected areas of the course and surrounding dunes. Marram grass is a native coastal plant that plays a vital role in stabilising sand dunes and preventing erosion.
By replanting Marram grass in vulnerable areas, the club is helping to strengthen the dune structure, encourage natural sand retention, and protect the wider coastal habitat. This work supports the long-term health of the dune ecosystem while maintaining the natural character of the links landscape. The initiative forms part of the club’s ongoing efforts to protect biodiversity, restore natural habitats
