Growing the game through school outreach programme

Visby Golf Club has launched an outreach programme to introduce children to the joy of golf. The club’s professional coaches visit local schools to teach the basics of the game in a playful and accessible way. Using soft balls and lightweight clubs, students learn to hit, aim, and move safely while discovering that golf can be both fun and social.

Following the school visits, classes are invited to Visby Golf Club to experience the sport in its natural setting. There, the children can explore the golf course, see how it is maintained, and try hitting real shots on the range and short course.

The project aims to make golf more inclusive and to inspire young people to stay active, enjoy nature, and develop focus and coordination. For Visby Golf Club, it’s about growing the game, one curious student at a time.
