In 2023 Somabay Golf took the initiative to grow the game of golf within the Somabay community.
Kompass the local school in the area was approached and a 6 week program was offered to them, which they gladly accepted. During these 6 weeks the children developed the basic skills for playing golf, which will give them the knowledge and know-how to decide if they would like to take the game of golf further in the future.
We look to continue this program with Kompass and other communities in the region in the future. The most important message that our Pros try to convey to the children is to have fun and in doing so, they will be able to absorb more and hopefully pursue the game of golf into adulthood or as a profession.
