Harmaapäätikka on yksi niistä monista tikkalajeista, jotka käyvät Helsingin Golfklubin alueella ruokaa etsimässä. Olemme ylpeitä siitä, että tarjoamme näille linnuille elinympäristön, jossa ne voivat menestyä ja lisääntyä tuleville sukupolville.
Vaikka alueella ei tällä hetkellä havaita pesiviä harmaapäätikkaa, lajista on raportoitu lukuisia havaintoja kentällä ja sen ympäristössä. Jatkuvilla lintulajien tukitoimillamme pyrimme luomaan ympäristön, joka edistää näiden tikkojen pesimistä ja jälkeläisten menestyksekästä kasvattamista.
On syytä huomata, että harmaapäätikka kaivaa pesänsä yleensä kuolleisiin tai pahoin vaurioituneisiin puihin. Valitettavasti harmaapäätikan määrä on vähentynyt monilla alueilla, joilla on saatavilla tietoja sen populaatiosta.

The Grey-headed woodpecker is among the many woodpecker species that frequent the Helsinki Golf Club area in search of food. We take pride in providing these birds with a habitat where they can thrive and reproduce for future generations.
Although nesting Grey-headed woodpeckers are not currently observed in the area, there have been numerous reported sightings of the species on the course and its surroundings. Through our ongoing efforts to support bird species, we aim to create an environment that is conducive to the nesting and successful rearing of offspring for these woodpeckers.
It is worth noting that the Grey-headed woodpecker typically excavates its nest in dead or severely damaged trees. Unfortunately, in many regions where population data is available, the grey-headed woodpecker is experiencing a decline in numbers.
